How to Create or Add Tasks When Editing a Job

You can add, modify, or remove tasks via the job edit flow (status permitting).

Add a new task

  • Open the job → Edit Job

  • Go to Step 3 (Job Tasks)

  • Click Add Trip

  • Allocate waste, set destination, save

Modify an existing task

Tasks can only be modified when:

  • Change task type (if allowed)

  • Reallocate waste items

  • Change destinations

  • Update preferred days/dates

  • Add/remove assets

Remove a task

Tasks can only be removed when:

  • Task is UNSCHEDULED or SCHEDULED, and

  • Not in progress or completed

Restrictions by job status

Editing capability of Tasks is dependent on it's status:

  • CONFIRMED: full task editing

  • IN_PROGRESS: no removal of started/completed tasks; limited changes

  • COMPLETED / CLOSED: no task changes
