  • Generated automatically on creation

Why WIDs exist

  • Unique identification for every item

  • Traceability across jobs, tasks, runs, receivals, sorting, processing

  • Accurate inventory tracking per item

  • Compliance support where required

  • Permanent audit history

What a WID links to

  • Waste code (EPA classification)

  • Quantity + unit (kg, t, L, m³)

  • Status flags (collected, received, quantity verified, end-of-life)

  • Job/task associations

  • Parent/child relationships (for split or count items)

  • Current site/location
