Receivals confirm incoming waste from collection runs and update inventory.
When you can create a receival
After a run is completed and tasks have collected waste
One receival per run
Typically done soon after collection (before closing jobs)
How to create a receival
Go to Receivals or Run Details → Receive Items
Select the run
Review collected waste items (and which task they came from)
Confirm or adjust quantities and units
Manage discrepancies (if needed)
Assign sorting groups (if required)
Submit receival
Count items (parent items)
If the manifest includes “5 drums”, you’ll enter quantities per drum. The system creates child waste items for each unit.
Discrepancies
Not collected:
Mark items as not collected
Removes them from the task
Records the discrepancy
Found but not on the manifest:
Add an item during receival
Enter waste code, quantity, unit, description
Item is added to the job
What happens after receival
Waste items become received and quantity-verified
Quantities lock to receival amounts
Tasks/runs/jobs progress to completed where applicable
Inventory increases via COLLECTION_ACTUAL transaction
Receival record becomes permanent (cannot be edited/deleted)
Validation rules
Waste codes must be valid for the site
Quantities must be positive
Items must belong to tasks in that run
Duplicate receivals for the same run are not allowed
