A customer is an organisation you provide waste services to. Each customer can have multiple sites (collection addresses), billing groups (for invoicing), and a history of jobs.
Do not confuse customer sites (where you collect waste) with organisation sites in WasteConnect (your own facilities)-they are different concepts.
Create a customer
From Customers, select Add Customer and complete:
Customer name
Customer notes (optional)
First site (created with the customer):
Site title
Contact name, phone (optional), and email
Address
Site description (optional)
Driver notes (optional) - gate codes, access, hazards
Days available for collection (optional)
After save, open the customer to add more sites and billing groups.
Why customers matter for jobs
Every job is tied to one customer for its lifetime. You choose the customer and collection site when creating the job; the customer cannot be changed later.
